I have gambled on millions of rounds of blackjack. I began sneaking into the gambling halls when I was still underage. I have gambled on online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of cash at blackjack. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have bet on a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this method or beat the house, however you will have a lot of fun. This method is based on the fact that chemin de fer seems to be a game of streaks. When you’re hot your hot, and when you’re not you are NOT!
I bet with basic strategy twenty-one. When I don’t win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I lose again I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the bet back down to the original sum.
I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets very enjoyable on occasion. If you win a few hands in series your bets go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had awesome streaks a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a few years back with $750 after 20 minutes using this method! And a couple of days ago in Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You need to comprehend that you can give away a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be amazed at the runs you notice betting this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a five dollar game.
Bet five dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original five dollar bet
Wager $5
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of $10
Wager 10 dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the initial $10 wager
Bet 10 dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of $20
Bet 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the first 20 dollar bet
Bet 20 dollar
Leave $20 paid to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Bet forty dollar
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the original forty dollar wager
Bet 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar
Wager eighty dollar
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first eighty dollar wager
Wager $80
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager $160
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid to you, leave the original 160 dollar bet
If you left at this point you would be up $315 !!
It’s hard to go on a streak this long, but it does happen. And when it does you must NOT alter and drop your wager or the end result will not be the same.
